The Book Borrower

~ A Poem

By KA Stefana Published about a year ago 1 min read

She walked in

Glared at me

As I sat there

Bewildered

How could you?

She questioned

How could I, what?

I pondered.

She held a book

In her hand

Waving it at me

Incessantly

He broke up with

Me last night!

How could you,

Do this to me?

Oh! It will be OK

Read on!

Read on!

You will see!

Walking away

She mumbled

He ripped my heart out

Last night!

Jokingly I teased

But I see

It is still

Beating

Tossing the book

Down on her desk

She grumbled

I am still mad at you!
