The Silver Lining

by Sunita Sharma

By Sunita SharmaPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

What season is this?

.. impossible,.. to know

dark clusters of cumulous

And nimbus and so…

The sky has a veil

off-white puff’s of gloom

Leaves the mood so sombre

On this colourless afternoon

Fifty shades of grey I count

In my sooty cityscape

From cloud, to tower, to sidewalk

All merging shades of slate

Frowning clouds furrow up

to relinquish what they hold

Greyer still, with grainy rain

The mood just wont unfold

But moods can’t last, or linger so

The light must always find a way

Bursting through a moments break

A ray, a beam, has found the day

Now colours fill the way ahead

A brand new disposition

Oh yes lets feel this summers days

Warming the human condition

nature poetry
