A Sacred Longing

Seeing her sparked a longing that won’t fade. How beautiful is life when her eyes tether, a glittery cheek and an obsession that now won’t trade.

I capitulate at the thought of my unholy regret. My unsaid confession, now a lifetime of wander. A curse placed upon me that I will never forget.

A villain in my own story, a teething mistake. I rip apart the pages of love erasing annotations of desire. Her divinity gave me a will to love in a quiet ache.

Irreparable damage to my heart, I now plead. Whoever takes my place shall never suffer a tragic fate. Love loudly in the face time that cannot be reversed and take heed.
