The Shadows of Forever

The shadows of hares and creeks,

Are traced along the artificial grass

The rays of sun past passed the rubber leaves

Of multiple clones, of faux Everglade trees

And our nature true reached an impasse;

And mother, Mother Earth, is no mother

For she has ceased to conceive,

O’ Mother, Mother of Earth, can no longer

For she has ceased to breathe;

The skyline no longer long, the air no more,

The presence of life is in deep freeze,

And the shadows of life are seen on the floor;

Is nothing natural anymore? Maybe behind heaven's door,

Will there be a living hare by the creek, that hops in green shore?

Will the shadows of leaves, swing to the Eden breeze?

Or will the shadows stain the greeneries

Forever like ink onto paper,

Can no longer will we reverie,

Our Mother Nature proper?
