I set out to sail a ship to the sea
love was the isle, you - destiny
No-one can tell you, the why, or what for
with all that I had, I pushed on with the ore
*
I tore thru the waves like a shark hunting prey
I was sure there was something I needed to say
But the riptide between us kept you an arms length away
I kept yelling my feelings to you, over the waves
*
Finally, the waters parted, like a bridge to the shore
you took my hand and helped me out with the oar
Together we walked through the sand, side by side
amazed at the beauty and strength in the tide
*
Such beauty revealed in the struggle we faced
the journey was worth it, as I touched your face
Never have I been in such a wonderful place
than here, washed up and away with the waves

Awwww!!! Beautiful, brilliant & beautiful!!! Loved it!!!
''Together we walked through the sand, side by side'' my favorite line!
Oh this gave me strong vibes of Robert Frost! I loved it!
No longer swept away by love (romantic circumstance), but willing a way through the sea, waves & riptide to embrace love.
Finding beauty in the struggles. A heartwarming piece, Kelli!
Yep, I've felt like that, swept away and went under.
