The Saving of You
Haiku string
You’re so innocent.
I just want to protect you
from the ones who steal
+
your own wants, desires,
your joy, your peace, hopes and dreams
under the guise of “love”.
+
Spell binding, blinding,
broadsiding, biding their time,
triggers call you back.
+
They’re casting your dye
Adroitly meek and gentle
as kindred spirit.
+
But what you don’t know
can, and will, disfigure you
In rhythmic tempest.
+
Advantage taken.
Trusting , thrusting, garden spurned
pleasures meant to steal.
+
Born of wicked will
beget wicked every time
but there’s an escape.
+
The one who’s been sent
holds the key to see you free,
retracing your steps.
+
Awkward or painful
The path in is the path out
to erase footprints.
+
A new beginning,
a rebirth of heart and mind,
body and soul healed.

Reach for your journey,
It’s all right there waiting for you.
