The Sadness in Her Eyes

Years of being used and hurt takes its toil

The Sadness in Her Eyes

The sadness in her eyes

tells a tale of years

of betrayal, hurt,

and unspoken fears.

She gave her kindness,

her love, and her trust,

only to find it all

trampled deep in the dust.

Family and friends took,

they took and they took,

breaking her heart

with every single bad turn.

Used, but stood by them

through thick and thin,

but they used her kindness

without a hint of remorse,

leaving her worn and weary.

Her spirit once bright,

now dims and drifts,

chiseled by years

of being scorned and torn.

Yet in her gaze,

a flicker remains

a glimmer of hope that someday,

kindness will sustain her.

For even in the depths

of pain she endures,

she dreams of love

that comes without chains.

A heart once whole,

now scarred and forlorn,

still yearning for

the love that can be reborn.

Until that day,

she’ll carry on,

with strength and grace,

though battles are drawn.

For deep within her heart,

she knows the truth:

that kindness is

the greatest proof.

There's a reason why they say the eyes are a window into the soul. Everything we are, everything we've been, and everything we can be are reflected in there. A beautiful piece!

This is beautifully bittersweet! A tale of hurt, hope, and the quiet strength to keep going. That flicker of kindness shines through it all—just lovely! 💕
