My House Was Clean Yesterdayr

My house was clean

just yesterday,

But chaos came

and chose to stay.

The floors once gleamed,

shelves were bare,

Now dust and clutter

fill the air.

Coffee cups

on every side,

Laundry grows—

I cannot hide.

The sink’s a mess,

the bin a heap,

Crumbs invade

where I should sleep.

I fight a war

I cannot win,

The mess returns

where I begin.

Yet somehow,

through disarray,

I find my calm—

it’s here to stay.

For life’s not spotless,

neat, or prim,

It’s lived in moments,

full to the brim.

So let the mess

take up its space,

Proof of love

and life’s embrace.

Like I swear, I don't even know where all the dust comes from, lol
