Letting go of the things we cherish most is daunting and painful. These are the aspects of our lives that are indispensable.

But doing so creates a renewed sense of freedom and purpose for ourselves. We do so slowly.

Held close,

Through summer,

Beauteous red, yet

Come winds of autumn,

Soft, red petals must part

Tightly red love closely clings

To them, its constant companion

Yet its crimson form will fray to grey,

Red love sets free, and lets them drift to Earth.

Scattering seeds for fresh new blooms of red.

Hey, there! The etheree is a a poetic form much like the nonet, except that there’s a last line of 10 syllables. Do give it a try!

Letting go is tough. And fall can bring that own. Such a beautiful poem.

Fall is a time of letting go of the beautiful plant life we enjoyed for seasons, Spring is a renewal that occurs over and over again. Spring is my favorite season. Nice Work, well done.
