We make love
In the electric van.
This is that time of the year,

Spread your arms.
I put the top down.
Shouting all around
The globe
As we drive up the coast highway
From LA to the Bay.
We love.
You are charming.
You are so sweet.
As we carry on mad love, parked at the beach
Because our road trip
Had a dip in the beach at Ventura,
To slip in the back
Of my pink VW electric wagon
So, Beep Beep!

This sounds so idyllic.
This was so lovely. I hope, if there's a heaven, that's what it is. Just an endless road trip, music up, sun going down, and somebody dear to share it all with. I hope the wind blows and the road winds, and there's always snacks and smiles and sunglasses.
You did a nice job with your poem - a little bit too steamy for my taste... But still you did a good job with it.

Though I’ve mostly strayed from poems that don’t rhyme or scan, there is a rhythm here. The fun, carefree and lovely visions of a couple on a road trip in California in a Volkswagen evokes feelings of liberty. Thanks for this, Lawana! —Skyler
