The Red Robin's friends by George’s Girl

In a garden where the sunlight weaves,

Amidst the blooms and whispering leaves,

A red-breasted Robin flits with grace,

In search of solace, a cherished place.

With feathers brushed in hues of fire,

He sings of joy, of hope, of desire,

Yet shadows loom as winter draws near,

The world turns cold, the skies austere.

But hark! A rustle, a gentle sound,

His loyal friends gather all around,

With breadcrumbs strewn upon the ground,

In their care, sweet solace is always found.

A child with laughter, a grandmother's smile,

They cherish the Robin, stay for a while,

With hearts so warm and hands so kind,

They share their bounty, leaving none behind.

Through frost and chill, he finds his way,

With each morsel offered, he chooses to stay,

Their friendship a beacon, a light in the gloom,

Together they flourish, together they bloom.

So let us learn from the red Robin's tale,

Of bonds forged in kindness that never grow stale,

In a world where survival is often a test,

It’s the love of good friends, that are the best,

And as spring returns, with blossoms anew,

The Robin will sing, his joy shining through,

For in every heart that knows how to give,

Lies the secret of thriving, the art of to live

Amen 🙏
