Buddhist Monks

You may have heard,

a group of Buddhist monks

are on a peace walk

across the USA.

Long walks are pilgrimage

for Buddhist monks,

even Gautama Buddha did.

It is the social media era,

the internet time,

a gesture of peace,

a dog accompanies them,

they are being followed.

I paint a lot,

so, I just made a watercolor art

and last night posted it,

in a watercolor group

in Facebook.

I woke up to see

avalanche of

likes, comments, shares,

it felt like a viral post.

I’m glad it’s not a

meaningless meme

but a theme crucial,

to our harmonious survival.
