The Play of Life

Life is a play, we are crying,

I entered this world with the laughter of my loved ones,

And leave this world amidst the cries of your loved ones and your own laughter.

The drama in between is all performed by you. Be happy,

Whether we are sad or not depends on us. When we are born,

This life has already begun.

People who are crazy about acting, seem foolish when watching movies.

Those too deeply involved in the drama and fascinated by authority,

Yet when facing the drama of their own lives,

How many can truly play freely?

Experience the ups and downs, joys, and sorrows of life,

Right or wrong, success or failure – playing so many roles simultaneously.

From a spiritual perspective, observe every scene of your many lives.

Life is a grand stage, actors are like people, playing clowns.

Everyone is acting out the cruel and complex reality of interpersonal relationships.

Pretending to be a gentleman, they perform flawlessly in front of others,

Yet later acts sinister and cunning.

Life is not easy; it all depends on acting skills.

If you act well, there will be good stories.

If the acting is cowardly, it's a joke. But people have hearts,

So persevere, for we are the protagonists of our own lives.

There's no need to pretend to be beautiful or ugly; to be real, there's no need for pretense.

Be able to adhere to your original intention for a long time and perform with your heart.

You don't have to deliberately perform to live a wonderful life and make it worthwhile.

Life is a comedy, and tragedy is faced by oneself.

Don't fear that your sincerity will be questioned or your motives deemed impure.

Human life is like a drama,

With ups and downs and changes that are often unexpected.

Life is inherently impermanent, and gatherings and separations are even more unpredictable.

Many things in life cannot be predicted or controlled.

Missed time and fate cannot be repeated.

So, learn to choose and cherish the present.
