The Patio Garden
It had limitations, but it was a success

My spouse fulfilled his vow,
I have a sunny in-ground garden now.
But before that,
I did not.
I had a little patio,
yet I maintained there,
a lovely container garden.
Under the dappled shade of the jacaranda,
I placed plastic pots
with an amalgamation of plants.
Their foliage and flowers
created a tapestry of colors,
inviting pollinators,
enchanting me with splendor.
I found peace in tending them,
pruning, staking,
watering and feeding,
being present in that haven
finding my zen.
Art is in my vein,
and you can create one,
despite limitation,
I just gave you inspiration.
