The Pain in the Rain

A future poem.

Slowly, we found ourselves where we are today

I don't know why we didn't listen, why we didn't hear

Listen to the screams, or we'll all have to pay

Each of us now pays more with each passing year

Nothing stops the pain our planet feels

Can't stop what we have done to our future

Everyone left to hope that somehow she heals

We will fight with the light, we will not leave, and our thick bones will feel warmth again. Very strong message.
