The Night I Met Her

It was a quiet, lonely night,

No lights, no noise—

Just silence,

And the sound of my own thoughts.

I wasn’t looking for answers.

But somehow,

I found her.

I saw the tired eyes in the mirror,

The gentle sadness in her smile.

And for the first time,

I didn’t look away.

I met the part of me

That hides pain behind jokes,

That keeps going,

Even when tired,

Even when hurting.

I met the girl who forgave everyone,

But forgot to forgive herself.

The one who loved deeply,

But never said it out loud.

I didn’t judge her.

I sat beside her.

Listened to her silence.

And gave her what she needed most—

Understanding.

That night,

I didn’t change.

I didn’t heal everything.

But I saw her clearly—

Soft, and strong.

That night,

I promised to be kinder to her.

To stop waiting for others

To see her.

And start seeing her.

Because sometimes,

The deepest love story

Is the one you write

With your own soul.
