Returning to my bed, on a quiet December night, I passed by the Christmas tree;
Lit and adorned with baubles of various designs.
For the next hour, I sat on the floor in the low light, captivated by the ornate tree,
Considering the meaning of each ornament.
The white ornaments, encrusted with glitter, were like newfallen snow;
Glittering under the streetlamp light.
The metallic-red ornaments, with their velveteen luster, were like a Christmas cap;
Velvet and red.
The frosted blue ornaments, hanging from pine branches, were like juniper berries;
A symbol of vibrant life in frozen winter weather.
The glossy metallic ornaments, shining spheres of silver and gold, were like the moon and sun, As if to represent the night of Christmas Eve and the morning of Christmas Day.
This elegant pine tree, glittering with adornments, is more than a holiday decoration;
A mosaic of symbols commemorating this beautiful season.
