Art Is A Perspective
Like A Shadow, It Changes
Peeling the paint
to reveal its treasure
Losing restraint
in the steps that will measure
What it will be
what it's already become
Completely carefree
focused eyeball to thumb
For it's the beholder
that decides the value
Some cry and some shudder
some praise and some damn you
Critics will mutter
trying to sway perspective
Smoking pipes in wool sweaters
trying to appear decisive
But the truth sits awaiting
a varied point of view
The creation sedating
everyone in the room
Refusing to be cloned
holding only one aspect
The experience alone
is not what you'd expect
It changes and grows
as the piece is set in motion
A secret nobody knows
it changes with each emotion
Is it ever the same
I guess only time will tell
Don't want to give it a name
I guess that's just as well
