The Morning After (I fall deeper with every thing you do.)
a sensory love poem | Submission for Sensational II Challenge
It isn't the blinding sun that jars me awake (you closed the curtains because you know I despise the sun before 8am),
but the gentle symphony of your sweet nothings, whispers in my hair, and the morning bird (I swear it's singing Love Me For the Both of Us).
Your hands graze mine as you pass me my black tea (warming me, especially when I see Mrs. on the mug)
--with hints of lavender and lemon that dance on my tongue like we did last night. (I'm the lemon - spicy and you're the lavender - calming.)
To add to this perfect morning, there are pancakes nearby and the scent is delectable, heavenly. (They remind me of the chocolate covered strawberries from our first date.)
