somewhere down beneath the surface
where the memories wait
to be rated and serviced
and put securely in place
is a wee, tiny creature
they call the "whatsittoya"
a professional besieger
traced back to deep, southern Australia
now it's been his job to peruse
and harvest your notions
gathering the ones you most use
connected to your emotions
he details the data
keeps it all under wraps
and puts them where they most matter
in a secure time capsule
he presses the buttons
and sends out a signal
so even the shut ins
can enjoy the giggles
that come in remembering
and reliving a moment
he is always adding and assembling
those emotional components
that keep us connected
to the things that most matter
and we've come to expect
he's ready with the next chapter
with the perfect subject
evoking the proper reactor
so we never forget
that living life is the main factor

This is a fun read and didn't know that phrase was Australian. I have heard this phrase all my life and it means what it means mind your own business and if you need to know I will tell you. Good job.
What a fun ride! I think I saw a whatsittoya once. It definitely sounds Australian!
