The Many Faces of Love

A Poem on the Illusion of Loving Many and the Reality of True Love

He who is in love with people,
Is not in love with anyone,
For love cannot be measured,
By the number of hearts it's won.

He who is in love with people,
Is lost in a sea of faces,
With no one to hold onto,
In life's ever-changing spaces.

He who is in love with people,
Is searching for something true,
But true love cannot be found,
In the hearts of the many, but few.

He who is in love with people,
Will never find true love's grace,
For true love comes from within,
And cannot be found in a place.

So let us all be mindful,
Of the love we choose to seek,
For true love is not found in numbers,
But in the hearts of the meek.
