Like a manuscript,
Hidden on the shelf,
Ideas, long forgotten,
No faith in myself.
But through some new eyes,
Perhaps a deep well,
If given a chance,
To prove themselves.
AN: I've been going through my drafts from the poetry challenge I did last year using Taylor Swift song titles as the prompts. I've released a few here already, but I think I'm going to post a few more while I work on some challenges pieces. They make a nice little buffer while I give myself time to focus on writing new stuff. :)
I've found going back to a lot of old drafts, this poem is really relevant. I'm a better writer than I sometime give myself credit for.

As a hugeeeee Swiftie, this series of yours is my favourite. And yes, cut yourself some slack, you deserve it. Loved your poem!
Sometimes we are own worst haters. I’m glad you let this one see the light of day. It’s both beautiful and a testament to the value of sel-love!
Sometimes things just work out. Other times, your gonna hate, hate, hate hate... your own work. 😐
Nicely written and inspiring poem. Loved it.
Amazing work! I love that you revisited an old work!
I like this. Returning to things we've written is good, I think. I often reread and revisit things of mine. I don't always revise either but just sample them again.
Great poem!
