The Lure of the Small Screen
A Poem on Instant Gratification
Digital technology, particularly with the advent of Artificial Intelligence, has created the need for immediate responses to messages and posts.
Like it or not (not so much for me) instant gratification is here to stay. It guides our behaviours, but we can control how we respond to it.
And one of the best ways is to harness it with a poem.

The small screen glimmers, with a siren call,
A blaring notificationβimmediate, fleeting.
Aroma of smoked turkey, basted, barely savored.
Then chocolateβs sugar rush, sweet but already fading.
Tap the screenβa magic touch, craving more with each pass.
