The Love Gap

Across the chasm, where affection waned,

We stand, two figures, love's promise restrained.

A silent void, where laughter used to bloom,

Aching whispers in a love-stricken room.

The Seeds of Discord

Once fertile ground, where dreams took root and grew,

Now lies fallow, where doubts and shadows accrue.

Misunderstandings, like weeds, began to creep,

Choking the garden where love's tendrils sleep.

Unvoiced Frustrations

Walls of silence, brick by unspoken brick,

Built to shield emotions, emotions running thick.

Frustrations fester, a smoldering, unseen fire,

Burning trust to ash, fueled by unspoken desire.

The Drifting Continents

Hearts once a continent, a single landmass whole,

Now fractured plates, drifting towards an unknown goal.

Shared hopes and dreams, tectonic shifts divide,

Leaving a vast expanse, where love used to reside.

The Aching Distance

Across the chasm, yearning gazes meet,

Aching for connection, bittersweet and fleet.

Memories echo, ghosts of what once was,

Haunted by laughter, a love that cannot pause.

Can the Bridge be Built?

Can we build a bridge, across this empty space?

With communication's steel, and forgiveness' grace?

Each hesitant step, a test of fragile trust,

Can love's foundation withstand this bitter gust?

The Fragile Hope

A fragile ember, flickers in the night,

A sliver of hope, a yearning for the light.

Is there still strength, to rise above the fray,

To mend the broken pieces, and find a brighter day?

The Cost of Rebuilding

Rebuilding trust, a labor long and slow,

Brick by honest word, watching the feelings grow.

Vulnerability's mortar, binding what's been torn,

Facing the rawness, where love feels most forlorn.

The Leap of Faith

Across the chasm, a hand extends in plea,

A leap of faith, for love to finally be free.

Can we embrace the unknown, the risk of falling deep?

For love's reward awaits, where vulnerability can sleep.

The Unseen Threads

Though severed now, unseen threads may hold,

Memories a tapestry, a story yet untold.

The laughter and the tears, woven in the past,

A foundation for a love that may yet last.

A Different Love?

Will the love we rebuild, be the same as before?

Or will it transform, reaching a higher shore?

Forged in the fires of hardship, battle-scarred yet true,

A love with deeper understanding, stronger than the blue.

The Unwritten Ending

Across the chasm, a choice still waits to be made,

Will we surrender, or will love unafraid?

The future unwritten, a canvas yet to paint,

With love as the brushstroke, defying every taint.

Though the love gap stretches, vast and seemingly wide,

Hope whispers a promise, on love's hopeful side.

For even in distance, connection can remain,

If we find the courage, to bridge the gap again.
