Adrift on a Sea of Memories
We built a raft of love, secure and strong,
Gliding on currents, where laughter flowed along.
Sunlight kissed our faces, hearts light and free,
Lost in a world where only we could be.
But storms arose, winds whispered discontent,
Crashing waves of doubt, our fragile vessel bent.
Communication's sails, once billowing wide,
Now tattered remnants, tossed against the tide.
Islands of Misunderstanding
We clung to islands, built of differing views,
Lost in the fog where compromise eludes.
Gestures misinterpreted, words like sharpened spears,
Piercing the trust we held for countless years.
Lonely nights stretched long, beneath a moonlit sky,
Longing for connection, a tear in each other's eye.
Shared dreams, once vibrant, now faded hues of grey,
Adrift in this ocean, where love seems to stray.
Starvation on the Shores of Silence
Silence, a growing beast, consumed the air,
Conversations dwindling, a weight we both could bear.
Once vibrant stories, now secrets held within,
Aching for comfort, where a touch used to begin.
Hunger gnawed, a yearning for connection's light,
Lost in the coldness of a love turned night.
Will kindness return, a nourishing sea breeze?
Or will starvation claim us, adrift on bended knees?
Whispers of a Lighthouse in the Distance
A faintest glimmer, a flicker on the horizon's edge,
Could it be forgiveness, a chance to mend the ledge?
Hesitation lingers, a fear to reach out too soon,
But the promise of rescue, beneath a hopeful moon.
Can we build a bridge, across the churning sea,
With open hearts and voices finally free?
Will trust be the anchor, that holds us steady and strong,
As we navigate the wreckage, where love once belonged?
The Siren Song of Letting Go
The siren song of freedom, whispers on the breeze,
Island of solitude, offering a life of ease.
No more conflict, just the rhythm of the tide,
But will it bring solace, or leave us hollow inside?
Will we find peace in separate shores unknown,
Or forever yearn for the love we used to own?
Letting go, a bitter pill to swallow whole,
But can we be whole again, without giving up on the soul?
The Uncertain Current
The current shifts, pulling us in different ways,
Will we find strength together, or succumb to the daze?
Love's life raft battered, yet a sliver remains,
Enough to rebuild, if hope once again reigns.
We stand at a crossroads, a choice to be made,
To fight for the love that in the shadows has stayed,
Or drift into solitude, on separate, endless seas,
Forever haunted by what once used to appease.
A Final Prayer for Rescue
With trembling hands, we reach for the distant light,
A silent plea for rescue, in the darkest night.
May love's compass guide us, across the treacherous waves,
To find forgiveness, and the solace it craves.
Stranded in love, we may be, adrift and alone,
But hope whispers a promise, a chance to make it home.
For even in wreckage, new beginnings arise,
If we find the courage, to look each other in the eyes.
