One step
It felt right, it was bright
All around me, within me, bright
Nothing in my bones said no
Seeing what was in front of me
Everything that passed, I left behind
Memories of everything, the Good, the Bad
The Unknown.
One step
The belief, the faith, the trust
Blinded me, like cloth wrapped around
What was said, what was done
My heart believed every word
My soul had the faith
My brain began to trust, then suddenly
It faded away
One step
This heart and soul of mine
Kept going, my brain telling me
Take the cloth off, body didn't listen
Music was playing, soul was singing
Heart was dancing, yet it was full of sorrow
Little did it know, that whispers came around
Filled with doubt, filled with hate, filled...
One step
Stopping before the edge
Ignoring the venomous whispers
I say out loud,
"This Leap of Faith, I take..
For my heart and soul knows.
It's okay if they're filled with sorrow,
They know our worth, they know the pain
They know compassion, they know.. Unconditional love."
One Leap of Faith
Darkness ensued, wrapping itself around
With clasped hands and a gentle whisper
Light implodes, softly
I have belief, faith
Now I have to trust, so I do
This broken heart of mine, mend with Gold,
Pain is temporary, love is eternity
