The Leader Of The Band

Attempt To Imitate

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Still is the night, dark the dreams I am dreaming

If the music lost sound,

my soul could feel the beat beating

Levitate to the rhythm

Expose all my feelings

Saved and forgiven

Undo the deeds I was dealing

Getting caught in a groove

Fixes the hurt starts the healing

Begs the body to move

Dancing up on the ceiling

Rhythm and blues

Cool jazz and the classics

Lyrics run loose

Stirring the mood and the magic

Till the dreaming subsides

And my heart and soul reunite

I tell the darkness goodbye

Now I run the night

Drift away on pure waves of rhythm

Lost in melodic sound

Waking refreshed, warmed by the sun

In tune, with two left feet on the ground

Dancing to your own beat and rhythm. Music is in all things. Great work.
