The Human Experience

Written + Illustrated by Briana Leigh

By Briana MaePublished about a year ago 1 min read

Fight or flight

Wrong or right

Anxiety has us all up at night.

Searching for meaning

In a world seemingly fleeting.

Hate becoming consistent

We argue with one another to sooth our existence.

To back our distortions.

The chains that keep us contorted.

Limited in our pursuit of self.

We allow the external to invade.

Infect the mind.

Complacent in our sights.

We must be renewed.

We must set ourselves free

From the daunting reality that be.

Leave all expectations at the gate

Learning to love in such a state

It’s much too tough for some to bear.

We must not give into despair.

We must open ourselves to the light

Remembering there’s truly no wrong or right.

A human construct felt by many.

Love is the medicine to bring us back to harmony.
