Joy must be real. - Michelle Liew

“Today’s catch is huge!”
He murmurs loudly and casts
The still streams give none
The fish leap free, escaping fast
The waters no longer hum.
**********************************************************************
“Don’t worry, there’s fish!”
He murmurs loudly and casts wide
But the nets are bare-
The silent waters stay still
Hope falters unless he casts.

I'm so sorry but I don't get it 😅😅
What a profound bit of words, Michelle. Quite thought provoking in their symbolism and imagery.
A poignant reflection on hope, persistence, and the quiet struggles we face. Beautifully written.
Ah, I love this! A quiet, hopeful fisherman refusing to give up—because hey, you never know what the next cast might bring. Simple, calm, and full of heart. 😊
