The Haunting Of Car 17 - The Portal
Part 3 - Collaboration with Sharon

A portal now, for ghostly passage
nothing and no one stands against
For what can any mortal manage
could offer any recompense
The conductor calls a final boarding
another soul met its demise
The portal offers death, transporting
while human proffer mournful cries
Time after time, collecting tickets
one step onboard, met with regret
The song of frogs and forest crickets
death's melody, one can't forget
For in the air float the strain of satan
a trilling tune of testament
Torment and terror play the refrain
the devil in his element
Pay heed my friends, when that whistle blows
say your prayers and watch you step
When that train returns, no one yet knows
but the engineer's name is surely, death

What happens if you don't have your ticket, if you lost it or something? Inquiring minds want to know.
A poem that is about the fear of death and what it might entail. Good job.
Keep that creepiness chugging! ⚡😁👍⚡
That was a great last line!
Oh, you're raising the bar!
