The Government Tell Lies

Fat Cats only want the cream not peace

The Government Tell Lies

I once believed the words they spun,

A tale of truth, beneath the sun.

Their promises like gilded chains,

Hiding truth within the reins.

They spoke of freedom, bold and clear,

Yet whispered whispers fed my fear.

A glossy smile, a shaking hand,

Deceit disguised as a helping hand.

I fell for every word they said,

Forgetting how the truth had bled.

The fabric torn, the veil so thin,

I questioned when the lies begin.

Now I see the puppet strings,

Tangled deep in crooked things.

A game of power, they hold the sway,

While the people’s trust is led astray.

Behind the masks, the false refrain,

Their promises are laced with pain.

A government that seeks control,

Betrays the very heart and soul.

Fat cat out to better the rich,

Stuff the poor because life is one bitch.

A wasted vote, a web so false untrue.

They help the rich, and stuff the poor.

I wish more people realized this going into elections. We really need to start electing the people we didn't see on signs, in ads and on the news. They were already bought and sold to us by the rich.

Ain't that the truth. The number one criteria to be a politician is to be a great liar! Number #1: Be able to deny everything with a straight face.

You write the truth with this one. Seems like when the poor get two steps ahead it is really three steps back. Good job.
