The Gods Are Angry

Mankind has strayed to wickedness

In the depths of the tempest, the heavens did roar,

A symphony woven from tales of yore.

The gods, in their fury, cast shadows so long,

Yet whispered a truth amidst thunder's strong song.

“Mankind, heed our warning, for folly has grown,

Your hearts, once united, now wander alone.

Desire and greed have clouded your sight,

But within every soul lies the spark of pure light.”

With lightning that danced like a fierce, wild muse,

They beckoned for change, not chaos to choose.

“Let mercy arise from the ashes of strife,

For kindness can nurture the garden of life.”

And as the skies trembled with fury profound,

A gentle voice rose from the chaos around:

“Forgive us, O heavens, for we have lost track,

But guide us with wisdom; we yearn to come back.”

Each flash that cut through the tempest's embrace,

Became a reminder of love’s sacred grace.

For in every storm lies a chance to renew,

To rise from the shadows and seek what is true.

So the gods, in their fury, sought not to condemn,

But to rouse the slumbering hearts once again.

“Awaken, dear mortals, from slumber so deep,

For love is the promise, a treasure to keep.”

As thunder became a harbinger of change,

Hope soared like a lark, no longer estranged.

“Let compassion be woven like threads of fine gold,

In the tapestry of life, let our stories be told.”

So take heed, O mankind, in this tempestuous plight,

For even in darkness, love shines ever bright.

With each heartbeat, remember, you’re never alone,

For the gods whisper softly, guiding you home.
