Nuclear War

The Biggest Nightmare

By Marie381Uk Published about a year ago 1 min read

Nuclear War

In shadows long where silence dwells,

A murmured dread, a tale that tells,

Of warheads poised on distant shores,

In whispered winds, the world implores.

The ticking clock, a heartbeat fraught,

With echoes of a battles fought,

As nations rise with fervent might,

Yet tremble still at dusk’s dim light.

Beneath the veil of twilight’s grace,

Lies the haunting fear we dare not face,

For in the chill of nuclear night,

A flicker fades—our shared delight.

What futures wrought in fiery blaze,

When reason falters, lost in a haze?

The children’s laughter turns to cries,

In a world where hope no longer lies.

Yet still, we dream of peace reclaimed,

Of dialogue where hearts are tamed,

For in our grasp, a choice remains,

To turn from war and break these chains.

So let us rise, in unity stand,

To forge a path, to heal the land,

In every voice, a gentle plea:

Together, let us shape our destiny.
