the words you spoke to me months ago still fill my head. floating around like the clouds. light, sweet, and pure.

the words were the calm before the storm. the words turned into silence. deafening like the ghost town a few miles away.

what happened in the short time you had me? one moment i was the person you saw the perfect future with. now its as though the thought had never existed.

tell me why i seemed unworthy of the thought. am i too much of a woman for you, or are you scared of what could be?

take me in your arms like you used to. look in my eyes and see how they shine. remember me? remember how you let me go without a warning sign?

i hope the next girl in your arms loves you as much as i did. fortunately, my love has now filled better places. places within me.
