The Giddy Little City Named Pretty

Off they went

By Rowan Finley Published about a year ago 1 min read

There once was a giddy little city named Pretty,

where there was no one who was ugly and everyone was happy.

Everything everyone said was always kind and sappy,

and amazingly, no one ever felt sad, dejected, or crappy.

Every day was like Friday!

Every day was a payday.

Everyone was super-duper modelesque.

One day a little girl named Rae grabbed her little brother’s hand and she said to herself, “I can’t stand all this perfection in this giddy little city named Pretty!” Looking down at her brother, “It’s time we break loose and live in an imperfect place where sometimes things are not so pretty and nice.” Off the two children ran away from all they’d ever known.

Ah, the great escape! Sometimes, a little mess makes life more beautiful.🙂

Pretty interesting…🤔 the world does have some pretty distorted standards of “pretty” … this kinda describes Eden before those two did something pretty stupid, and obeyed the pretty evil serpent. Pretty clever piece! 😊
