The Fragile Thread

Will it stand the test of time?

.Sigh.

It just drains me out to talk about this.

Me and you.

And the fragile thread that connects us.

At one end, I want this to work.

At the other, I am frustrated.

I know you feel the same way.

We have tried to find our laughter again,

But it is not without bouts of tears in between.

We have tried to fall in love with each other again,

But not without moments of wanting to just escape from each other's clutches.

I don't know how to tighten

This delicate thread that connects me to you

For it is frayed by past hurt

Even though we now are trying to get it gently rewoven.

I know we are both scared.

Hurt.

Tired.

But there is some hope that sparkles

Somewhere,

I don't know for how long.

Will it continue to burn bright?

Or will it end up burning this thread that binds us, still?

I have no answers, yet again.

But boy do I want some certainty.

There are slopes that we walk up and down, peaks and valleys. Sometimes we come out together and sometimes it shows us the way AWAY. Hugs!!

  • It sucks when so many things are uncertain. Sending you lots of love and hugs ❤️
