The Fragile Ones

A Space Odyssey

By Earl W. PearlPublished 3 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

I hunt the weak on planets far

And heard that earth is where they are

I found both strong and fragile ones

The fragile ones the shining star

Their virtue different I discerned

Aware of me but unconcerned

A work of art these fragile ones

With intuition, I have learned

They’re born to nurture, I observed

Demand respect that's well deserved

To disregard these fragile ones

A bowl of wrath will be reserved

Their name is “woman” it appears

So wise beyond their earthly years

If I bring home some fragile ones

I’d be a king among my peers

They’re loyal, soft, determined too

With confidence, you can't undo

I so admire these fragile ones

The time has come to seize a few

I snatched an angel full of grace

She pressed a weapon in my face

Seems I misjudged these fragile ones

I think I’ll try some other place

fact or fiction
