I asked for a friend, God made you my wife
I am the introvert, you are the life
You saw potential that I couldn't see
Made me the person I wanted to be
You’re very vibrant while I’m pretty plain
When you’re going crazy, I’m the one sane
You prefer movies while I like to read
You shop for pleasure, but I shop for need
You’re weak in places where I’m pretty strong
But right in the area’s I’ve gotten wrong
You think you're wimpy, but I say you're tough
You say, “I love you,” but I don’t enough
You never wonder, so I wonder more
My boat’s only moving cos you are my oar
You’re not inquisitive, I need to know
I like the gambling but you like the show
All things about us aren’t quite as they seem
I sip mimosas but you like Jim Beam
You prefer canines while I’m into cats
I love your tresses but you prefer hats
You ask me to notice more things that you do
Though I thought I was, not according to you
One thing I noticed, don’t blush when it’s said
When I do the dishes, you “butter my bread”
