‘Abandon hope all ye who enter here,’
The sign above the doorway reads in bold
Black letters as I cross the dark threshold.
This is home three I have been in this year,
Trash bag in hand with everything I own.
'Abandon hope all ye who enter here,'
The sign above the doorway reads in bold.
Now what fresh hell waits in this house austere
Packed to the brim with children all enrolled
In 'foster care,' just waiting for parole?
'Abandon hope all ye who enter here,'
The sign above the doorway reads in bold
Black letters as I cross the dark threshold.
