The First Breath of Forever
You arrived like morning light

You arrived like morning light,
soft and sure, filling the world with wonder.
In my arms, something so small,
yet somehow bigger than anything I had known.
Your fingers wrapped around mine like a whisper,
your feet pressed gently into my hand —
tiny, perfect, and full of life.
The nights were long and quiet,
hours folding into each other,
but in the stillness, you looked at me.
And in your gaze, I found steady ground.
Your smile, sudden and bright,
softened every tired part of me.
I learned a love deeper than sleep or rest.
Even when my body ached
and my mind grew heavy,
I held you close —
because you are the reason
my heart knows what home feels like.
In your giggles and quiet sighs,
I found forever.
