The Eyes That See With In You
Across the table, your eyes meet mine,
And in their light I catch your past,
The years unfold like silent cards,
Each moment shimmering in air.
I shuffle the deck, it hums with weight,
The symbols turn like tiny doors,
They open not to what has been,
But to what waits just out of reach.
The Lovers, the Star, the Wheel of Fate,
They speak not of doom or destiny,
But of the soft pattern we each become,
The map we trace through time and choice.
I read the lines upon your palm,
The gentle rise and sudden breaks,
Each one a memory shaped by hope,
Each one a road you’ve yet to walk.
Your spirit hums around your frame,
Its colour deep, its warmth alive,
I close my eyes and see it move,
Like light upon a river’s skin.
When the reading ends, the stillness stays,
You smile, though neither speaks a word,
For what was said was more than speech,
It was the truth you always knew.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
