A mother is not a pretty woman
She is not the one with beautiful eyes
Nor the one with a crazy smile
She isn't fair and glamorous
A mother is one who has caressed the idea of beautiful with her scars and has put her true inner beauty of selflessness by putting her needs before others so yes she is pretty
She is one who has the eyes with the most stories, stories from the hospital, from the midnight scares and the early morning tantrums , her eyes are the deep bold symbol of strength
She doesn't have the lips that can seduce but the way her smile shines at the laughter of her child makes her beyond beautiful
She maybe bruised, hurt and tired but she's strong , wonderful and gentle
She Portrays the true essence of love and defines values for us everyday with each action

On the heels of grief, pain bears down hard. On the heels of death, pain awakens the quiet place between the end of our own life and now. Feeling anything is like seeing a film and in black and white, slow motion, all sound turned off. Just watching.
