The Eight Phases of Mental Despair
Emotional Eclipses leave us blind to the Light of Truth
It's like looking backwards and forward at the same time
wanning and gaining only to wan again.
The years feel like the rising and falling tide.
I continuously wade through years of doubt and mistrust
aimlessly unfazed by the many temperaments of my personalities.
My dark illusion shining light on the true nature of my soul, a dark moon rising.
A light born in darkness, the thought send chills down my spine as I find myself alone.
Alone once again in a corridor of emotions closing in on me.
I try to navigate through the what I can be and what I'm meant to be.
They will never see.
Those that judge me.
The stark raving mad ghosts that haunt and inspire me.
Like my mother, I'm so ashamed of my creation that I distance myself from their muse like energy.
Waning under the pressure of its unnatural glow, I place my pen down.
My writing will never be notice.
The full realization of this nightmare shakes me to my core.
I wake to a full moon that should give me hope,
but instead just leaves me cold and lost
as I continue to wade through years of doubt and mistrust.
