We take the best of the past and move forward. - Michelle Liew

***************************************

In the halls of yesteryear

Where memories are a constant guest

And thick coats of regret on the walls

I dust all corners

***************************************

I gather the specks of unkept vows,

Dust away the long, lost hours

Blunt the edges of neglected dreams.

***************************************

The hand touches twelve

I drift forth

Into the halls of tomorrow

With embers that shine

On yesterday’s truth

It feels like a quiet yet determined act of moving forward with lessons and light. The transition into tomorrow with "embers that shine" is such a hopeful ending. Lovely work!
