"My mind keeps wandering..."

"Well, what is it you're pondering?"

"I am pondering the thought of you"

"Of me? But wouldn't it be wrong to?"

"Why, yes. Yet my mind can't help it."

"That seems selfish."

"Selfish, yes, but yet I can't help it."

"Can you sell it?"

"Being selfish?

How do you sell being selfish? Selfish is abstract, not a fish to catch and sell on a shelf, selfish is abstract, like having an itch and not being sure if you should ask for someone else to scratch or...

You say selfish and I hear self care

You say selfish and I hear sincere,

You say selfish and I find it queer that while all the thoughts I have are of someone else, somehow that makes me selfish, are we not allowed to allocate spaces in the shelves of each others lives?"

"So what does that make me?"

"Honey, that makes you the dream."
