The Door To My Heart
Only open if you can be committed to only me

The Door To My Heart
In the quiet of a tender night,
Two hearts whisper, soft and light.
Stars above, a twinkling glow,
In their dance, love begins to flow.
Gentle breezes, secrets shared,
In every glance, they’re unpaired.
Promises like petals fall,
Simple words, they say it all.
A hand to hold, a laugh to share,
In this moment, a magic rare.
Future intertwined, two souls aligned,
In love’s embrace, true joy we find.
So let us cherish, day by day,
The beauty found along the way.
For love is simple, pure, and free,
A wondrous journey for you and me.
So if you do not want to commit,
please don’t open the door to my heart. ❤️

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️

This poem beautifully captures the essence of love and commitment. The imagery is evocative, and the emotions are raw and sincere. The plea for honesty and sincerity in relationships is particularly poignant. It's a reminder that love should be cherished and respected, and that opening one's heart should be a conscious and deliberate act.
Those last two lines were my favourite!
