𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒅 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒏

I wonder what it's like to be this cute- and then not even know it.

I wonder what's like to be a kitten and be so hungry that you cry out at the sound of people nearby, terrified but hoping to get something to eat. What it's like to hide in the bushes and smell the food from the Wendy's drive through less than 100 ft away.

Normally, I wouldn't be at Wendy's in a different town at 1 am in the morning. But somebody wanted a Frosty and so we ended up at Wendy's, and heard a kitten desparately crying. He didn't make it easy to catch him though, so we went to my house and got a trap for him. He was in it within a few minutes of setting it, and we had a kitten! Now what?

I took him home and he stayed with me until the logistics of his parenting were decided upon. He was very loveable and I enjoyed keeping him, but I was hoping that the little Miss could have him. I'm sure that the heartfelt pleas by a 10 yr old may have influenced the outcome. Oh, and the handwritten pledge that she would take care of him if she was allowed to keep him. It was beautiful to witness, really.

Long story short, he travels between two homes and I get to hang out with him on the weekends. He is as sweet as he is cute, and he dearly loves his 10 yr old. He is well-mannered and easy to work with. We trimmed his nails tonight while he laid on the bed posing and purring like a content kitty.

Mr. Nugget truly is the distinguished gentleman. And loved beyond measure. And it will be fun to watch him and his sweet little human grow up together.
