The Day London Bridge Fell down

A trembling crack, a sudden shift,

The river stirred, the heavens lift.

No sound, no scream, no final plea,

Just the bridge sinking silently.

Each stone, once firm, now lost, betrayed,

The weight of centuries slowly swayed.

A task to build it up again.

When bridges fall, it’s such a pain
