i am a glacial echo
each brown blade of grass
crunching under my boots
reminds me
i must witness myself
for i am still here
making my way
to you
–
this morning
wears an icy armor,
the gray, yawning quiet
of november
meeting the thaw
aching to melt
wet across the moor
by noon
