The consideration of mans most beloved part.

The heart, is such an interesting thing,

A peculiar thing, an odd thing,

An afflicted thing in the sight of all men.

It yearns for love, but fears any amount of pain,

And so, in its desire to never be hurt,

It shuns any potential for it accrue pain,

And thus, never being able to have loved, at all.

It yearns for great things, mighty things,

To achieve and accomplish great wonders,

Yet refuses to to consider all the requirements to pursue any venture,

Or what skills to develop or if something is a skill at all.

It squanders time completely,

It doesn’t consider time as a resource, or how to appropriately handle time efficiently,

And thus, becomes frustrated when goals are set and are not reached, thus far.

It assumes that the mere sighting of a percentage or a source of numbers,

Is enough to discredit any counter argument that rises against it,

Without consideration as to what formed the number or percentage,

Or how another factor could so very well easily change the process of the equation entirely.

It desires to be knowledgeable, understanding, and wise,

Yet lingers upon an abstract concept or ideal,

Without being specific as to how that abstract idea is applied concretely,

And thus, refuses to ever commit to any strategy entirely,

Thus being unable to see more of the beauty of abstract ideas.

It yearns to be disciplined, but refuses to identify as to what a discipline is,

Or how to approach discipline at all,

It may even refuse correction entirely,

Without considering as to if the correction applied correctly,

Will be a benefit, or a hindrance.

Or what types of discipline are similar or different in nature,

And what skills, requirements, or adjustments, make the discipline up in its entirety?

It yearns to be able to do what is right versus what is wrong,

Yet is discouraged by the thought of pressure from others,

Who prefer the pleasure of wrong doing,

And are comfortable living a lie.

It prefers the illusion of being seen as right,

Without consider as to what it takes to do what is right,

And thus, disregards the time and procedure to do what is right,

All the while disregarding any notion of actually doing what was right in the first place.

The heart, can be a sick thing, a foolish thing.

May we consider as to how to make it all the healthier,

And all the more effective in how it pursues that which it desires.
